This event series was my introduction to covering show jumping horses on camera and commentary. The image background captures one of the innumerable panoramas of the Olympic region. The peak of Whiteface Mountain can be seen in the distance below the two large puffy clouds. If you look at the fences from foreground to back, you'll catch another tribute to the ol' Red, White, & Blue. The horse shows usually span a time frame that includes Independence Day. We celebrate riders and horses from all over the world in Lake Placid. This is such a vibrant international scene.<\/p>
